We all need one, whether or not you crate your dog when at work or running errands or if you have a new puppy you are trying to potty train, you are more than likely going to have to purchase a dog crate.
I have two dachshunds that LOVE their crates. I can image they feel safe, secure and warm when I am not at home. How do I know? Because sometimes when they have the entire house to roam, I find them in their crates catching a quick snooze or just needing space from their sibling. They also never give me a hard time when its time to go in them.
Since I have two dogs that means two crates, two crate beds, and two (or more) blankets. It all gets costly and if you are just purchasing one for basic potty training, you more than likely not looking to spend a ton of money.
Personally, I bought the Midwest iCrate from Petco. Which if you go on their website today they are on sale for over 50% off. You can get a crate for as low as $15.99. Plus, if you sign up for their points system you will get credit towards earning some Petco bucks for future purchases.
I found Petco to be the cheapest way to start off when I had my puppies. When I went to my local Petco I was given a puppy coupon book which I utilized almost every one saving at least a $100 altogether. I dont think they freely hand them out because of the huge savings, however, if you do not see it at the counter just ask as sales rep 😉
